Payment Security and Card Verification

Hosted card entry

Card number, expiration date and card security code are entered in an Authorize.Net Accept Hosted payment form. Authorize.Net serves and receives those fields directly. MSK Tour Groups receives the transaction result and masked payment details used for booking support and review.

What happens at checkout

Our server calculates the final amount from the selected itinerary and disclosed checkout items. The hosted form requests an authorization hold for that exact total. An authorization hold is not a completed charge and does not guarantee that a ticket will be issued.

The hosted form requires the card security code and includes a challenge against automated submissions. Billing information is submitted for address verification by the card network and issuer.

Independent transaction verification

After Authorize.Net reports an authorization, our server retrieves the transaction directly from Authorize.Net. It verifies the transaction type, approval status, booking reference and exact amount. The booking can proceed only when the address-verification and card-security-code results meet our payment controls.

If the transaction does not match the booking, or the required verification result is absent, our system does not move the request into ticketing review and attempts to void the authorization.

Review, capture and void

Each verified order remains pending while the fare and payment are reviewed. We capture no more than the authorized total only after the fare is approved and ready for ticketing. If the booking is rejected or cannot be completed, we void the authorization. The card issuer controls how quickly a voided hold disappears from available funds.

Records we retain

For support, reconciliation and fraud review, we may retain the Authorize.Net transaction identifier, masked card details such as card type and last four digits, amount and currency, address and card-code result codes, billing details, timestamps and booking activity.
