Booking Terms
Last reviewed 1 August 2026.
These terms cover your use of localhost:8080 and any reservation made through it, individual or group. Using the site means you accept them.
1. Who you are contracting with
MSK Tour Groups (“we”, “us”) is an independent travel agency at 8101 N Church Road, Kansas City, MO 64158. We arrange and issue airline tickets. We do not operate aircraft. Carriage itself is a contract between each traveller and the operating airline, under that airline’s conditions of carriage.
2. Group organisers
Where one person books on behalf of a group, that organiser confirms they are authorised to act for every traveller listed, that the details supplied for each are accurate, and that they will pass on the itinerary, fare conditions and these terms to each traveller. Communications we send to the organiser are treated as sent to the group.
3. Accurate traveller details
Names must match the travel document each person will present at check-in, including middle names where the document shows them. Airlines refuse travel on mismatched names and many fares do not permit corrections. Costs arising from details supplied incorrectly to us are the booking party’s.
4. Quotes, holds and deposits
A quote is an indication of price at the time it is given and is valid only for the period stated on it. Where the airline offers group space, a deposit holds seats until a stated name deadline. Deposit amounts, deadlines and cancellation terms are set by the airline, confirmed to you in writing before you commit, and are generally non-refundable. Missing a deposit date or a name deadline can result in the airline releasing the space.
5. Prices and payment
Fares quoted from live search reflect availability at that moment and are not held until ticketing completes. Where an MSK Tour Groups service fee applies it is shown as a separate line before you confirm. At checkout, card entry occurs in an Authorize.Net-hosted form. Your bank is asked to place a temporary authorization hold for the displayed total; we capture it only after the fare and ticketing request are approved, or void it if the request cannot be completed. See payment security.
6. Authorisation hold and when you are charged
When a card is submitted for a booking we verify it and place an authorisation hold with the card issuer for the booking total. A hold is not a payment. It reserves the amount against the available balance or credit and usually appears on the statement as a pending item.
We charge the card only when tickets are issued. If we cannot ticket — the fare is gone, the airline rejects the booking, or we decline it after review — we release the hold and take no payment. How quickly the released amount reappears is set by the card issuer, not by us; several business days is normal.
If a card is declined at this step, no hold is placed, no booking is created and nothing is charged. The person paying is told immediately and can use a different card.
Authorisation holds expire if unclaimed, generally after about 30 days. Group bookings can run long, so if a booking is still unresolved as that approaches we will either complete it or come back to re-authorise.
Group deposits are different: a deposit is an actual payment taken to hold airline space, not a hold, and is generally non-refundable as set out above.
7. Ticketing
A booking is complete when the airline issues ticket numbers. Before that you hold a reservation, not a ticket. If issue fails, we will tell you and refund anything taken.
8. Changes, cancellations and refunds
What can be changed and what can be recovered is governed by the fare rules of the ticket concerned and by the operating airline. We apply those rules; we do not write them. See changes and refunds.
9. Documents, visas and health
Each traveller is responsible for holding valid passports, visas, transit permissions and any required health documentation. Requirements depend on nationality and route and change at short notice. Being refused boarding or entry for want of a document is not grounds for a refund from us, however much help we gave in flagging the requirement.
10. Airline disruption
Delays, cancellations, schedule changes and denied boarding are the operating airline’s responsibility. Where we issued the ticket we will act for you in seeking re-accommodation or a refund. We cannot pay compensation on an airline’s behalf or compel it to act.
11. Limits on our liability
We are liable for our own negligence in arranging and issuing your booking. We are not liable for the acts, omissions or insolvency of an airline or other supplier, nor for indirect losses such as missed onward arrangements booked elsewhere, non-refundable accommodation, or lost earnings. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Acceptable use
Do not scrape, mirror or overload the site, make speculative or fraudulent bookings, or use it to infringe anyone’s rights. We may cancel bookings and restrict access where we reasonably believe this has happened.
13. Intellectual property
Site design, text and code are ours or our licensors’. Airline names and marks belong to their owners and are used to identify the services sold.
14. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The version in force when you book governs that booking.
15. Governing law
Governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, USA, with the courts of Kansas having jurisdiction. Please raise any complaint with us first at [email protected].
